My take is that if you include a runtime that can create a report then it must be licensed. This embedded designer REQUIRES a CR license for redistribution purpuses as where the integrated designer does not. Again you would add a CR viewer to a form to see the finished product and of course for actual reporting abilities like printing the report. This allows the end user to create Cyrstal Reports at runtime. The Embeddable Crystal Report Designer is a component that must me added to the toolbox and the runtime referenced, then we can drag the component onto the form. Usually you would also drag a CR viewer onto another form and assign it's report source to the report you made in the IDE. You access it by adding a new item (Crystal Report) the VS IDE then loads the CR integrated designer, thus you may create a CR in the VS IDE as a embedded or non-embedded Crystal Report. The intergrated report designer is the designer that runs in the IDE and is not dragged onto the form. Net IDE, that you drag on to the form. Now I'm confussed. Only the CR report designer that works in the VB.
